Corrections Policy

On Criptomedios, we strive daily to offer accurate, accurate, objective and verified information on the dynamic world of cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology and digital financial markets.

We know that in journalism and in a sector that moves at the speed of light, errors can occur. However, we firmly believe that the trust of our readers is built through transparency. For this reason, we assume responsibility for our contents and we promise to correct any errors quickly, clearly and visiblely.

This correction policy details how we manage, edit, and notify changes to our articles when inaccuracy is detected.

1. Commitment to accuracy

Our editorial team follows a rigorous source verification process before posting any news, guidance, or analysis. However, if we identify that we have published incorrect, incomplete or misleading information, we will proceed to its immediate rectification.

Our corrections are governed by the principles of:

  • promptness: Fix the error as soon as the correct information is verified.
  • transparency: Clearly explain what was changed and why, without hiding the original fault.
  • Responsibility openly recognize the error before our community.

2. Types of errors and how we manage them

Not all modifications to an item have the same impact. Therefore, we classify the changes in two categories:

A. Material or content errors (big errors)

They are those that directly affect the understanding of the news or the veracity of the facts (for example: an incorrect economic figure, the wrong name of a project, a wrong date of an important event or an incorrect interpretation of a crypto regulation).

  • How we act: We update the text with the correct information and add a Correction note (errata) visible at the end (или at the beginning) of the article. This note details the date of the modification и what information was corrected.

B. Minor errors (grammatical or formatting)

They include misspellings, typos, scoring issues, broken links, or writing improvements that do not alter the sense, data, or context of the information at all.

  • How we act: These errors are corrected directly in the content management system (CMS) internally. By not changing the background of the news, a public correction note is not added so as not to hinder the user’s reading.

3. Updates vs. Fixes

It is important to differentiate a correction of a update:

  • UPDATE: The crypto sector is constantly evolving. If we publish a news about a hack or the launch of a network (Mainnet) and hours later, new official data comes up, we will update the article to keep it up to date. In this case, a label is usually added that indicates ‘Updated on[Fecha/Hora]’, but it is not considered a previous editorial error, but an evolution of the news.
  • CORRECTION: It applies when the original information was incorrect at the time of its publication.

4. How to report an error? (community participation)
